If you haven’t already noticed, no one is standing in the middle of 700 East anymore. J Dawgs, the low-key hot dog stand and popular lunch spot for students just south of campus, has moved indoors. The ‘dawgs’ are the same, and so is the feel, but the location has shifted a few feet away.

Although you are sitting at a bar reminiscing with the J Dawg family with their photos and J Dawg paraphernalia rather than sitting on the street corner trying not to spill the trademark ’special sauce’ all over yourself, J Dawgs is the same.

The hominess of the hot dog, the ballpark ambience of the restaurant and the down-to-earth personality of the owner, Jayson Edwards, make the new J Dawgs a grand slam. In this podcast, I chat with Jayson about the move to the new J Dawgs.

That’s awesome! Is there much seating inside the new restaurant?
